Lady Betty is a family owned small business.
Fading childhood memories of hot summers spent in back of the small family owned pharmacy in the early 1980s. In those days, the back of the pharmacy had every character you can imagine pass through. The Travelers.
The pharmacy was located in a suburb of New Jersey and opened in 1945.
The Chemist was my grandfather. He came from Rome, studied at the local state college and worked at the Macy’s Pharmacy in NYC before opening his own business across the river.
He served his local community for 45 years. He knew most of his customers by name. “Thanks, Don. Hi to the family! I’ll see you soon!”
The Chemist sold small white milk glass jars of cream with black lids and green and gold labels that read, Lady Betty. Named after his wife, Elizabeth.
Decades later the little jars with the green and gold labels would be found and the Chemist’s story is told, and so those seeds would be planted.

Social work has taught me the profound impact of empathy and compassion, and I carry these values forward in all aspects of my life, including my work with Lady Betty.
Whether it's through charitable initiatives, partnerships with local artisans, or creating opportunities for underprivileged individuals, I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Supporting local social service agencies and participating in Eco-Soap Bank’s #ScrapPack. Providing soap to the developing world and becoming a zero waste soap maker.
